CPBN award procurement contract worth N$67 million to construct Phase-2 of Otjomuise Primary School

The Central Procurement Board of Namibia officially signed a procurement contract agreement with Namibia Construction (PTY) LTD, for the construction of Phase-2 of Otjomuise Primary School on behalf of the Ministry of Education Arts and Culture.  Valued at N$67 million, the construction will comprise of an administration block, four additional classroom blocks, sport facilities, alterations to the existing classrooms, feeding scheme facilities and a guard house amongst others.  The construction of additional classrooms will ease the burden of limited school placement currently faced by the Ministry by increasing the capacity of the school to accommodate more learners.  Furthermore, the additional classrooms will ensure that all children have access to education, reducing overcrowding in classrooms, improving educational quality, and ensuring that no child is left without a school placement. The project is expected to be completed in twenty-two (22) months’ time.
